Development Internship

Project Description:

This internship will offer a board scope of projects designed to give experience in many aspects of the Development office.

Duties may include:

  • Mailing membership info to prospects
  • Assisting with membership sales at special events (on evenings and weekends)
  • Research funding opportunities from foundations, corporations, and other sources
  • Restructure museum’s filing system for donor records
  • Database clean up work and reporting (training and direct supervision for projects of this type)

Hours:

Flexible depending on department and intern' needs.

Compensation:

This is an unpaid internship.

Qualifications:

  • Some college experience necessary
  • Possess excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Possess excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Experienced with computer databases, as well as all Microsoft Office programs
  • Be able to complete assigned tasks on time and is attentive to details
  • Preferably a student working towards a degree in Business or related field
