Guided Exhibit Tours

Tours of the Beneath the Badge exhibit are guided by trained docents and retired Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Officers. The tour will explore the history of the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department which dates back to the 1800s, and will focus on how police officers use new technology and innovation in police work today.

Visitors will leave understanding how police work has changed over time and learn about major police case and forensics techniques. Guided tours will also include hands-on activities, such as trying on police clothing.

Tours last approximately 45 minutes. Admission is $10 for museum members and $15 for non-members. Two weeks advanced registration is required.
